Biomechanics - an efficient and organic path.
How does it work?
Working through biomechanics consists of creating awareness in our bodies. We focus on developing neuromuscular connections, giving our bodies different stimulus. Some of them are physical, some are through words and visuals.
We look forward to find the correct alignment on our bones. For that, we need to improve our mobility, as most of our joints are stiff and fixed on an incorrect position. We strength inner (postural) muscles and external (movement)muscles by activating the muscle chains. We also think of our body in a global way, working through our fascia, a connective tissue that surrounds and holds every organ, blood vessel, bone, nerve fibre and muscle in place. This connective tissue distributes information all over our body, and helps to develop our kinesthesic sense. and a more efficient mind-body connection. |
My background
I have been dancing and training since I was 8. I am originally from the wild mountains of Patagonia Argentina. Contemporary dance it's one of my biggest passions, so I did a 3 years Diploma in Contemporary dance. But at the same time I have been into biomechanical ballet and biomechanical stretching for almost 12 years. I started my journey as a teacher on 2011 with pilates, and on 2014 I added biomechanical stretching and contemporary dance to my teaching repertoire. I met Barre technique in Sydney on 2019 and have been loving it and teaching it since then.
Injuries and my own body restrictions pushed me to learn more and more in order to develop an efficient way to train my body. All the knowledge I have absorbed on my journey it's what I share in my classes... besides lots of fun, laughs, and some latin american music. |
